Senesce

by Anthony Liccione

I heard you as breath
Late that night
Beside me,
As a broken dream
It cam e as yolk
Satin skin sheet s un folding-
Where a leg elongated
In soil

I gathered the lisse petals
Of your words that bloomed
The estival, the space we breathe
Off the bedroom floor-
About thetimethe
Wind gave out
At the window.
